About
Germinate Design is a garden design company run by the
inspirational Ana Sanchez-Martin, MSGD (Member of the Society
of Garden Designers, UK). A former film and television producer, Ana has since been through the rigorous process of training, working and being accredited in garden design (something which many people who call themselves garden designers currently cannot claim).
Her company, Germinate Design, has received recent acclaim for a number of projects in and around London, including a family garden in Highgate, a de rigeur outdoor space in Notting Hill and an of the moment courtyard for a renowned television presenter (whose name we cannot reveal unfortunately!) in Kensington. Ana has particular expertise in garden
design projects for homes in London.
Her gardens are designed with three things in mind:
- she has a particular flair for design, knowing what is current and what design elements will suit the space
- she understands that her clients' needs come first
- a knowledge of what plants will flourish best in particular environments and what plant choices will best suit the design needs of the client and their lifestyle.
Germinate Design offers a complete service that starts with the provision of concepts and drawings, moves through to construction drawings and if you wish to use them through to completion they will even project manage construction, planting, lighting and styling. While Germinate's is a design and project management only service, Ana will be able to recommend top class contractors to fulfil all elements of the work that you agree upon.
Garden Design Packages
Choose from several garden design packages. These prices are a guideline for you and cover most city gardens. These price levels also allow you to scale up, starting first with designs and then once you've worked with Germinate Design and know that they understand your vision, you can use them to implement the design.
Use the Design Solutions package to become inspired with initial design concepts from qualified
designers. Use the Planting Solutions package to receive expert planting advice and
recommendation. Alternatively, pick Complete Solutions to let Germinate create a beautiful bespoke
garden design from start to finish.
About Germinate Design
It was clear when we met Ana Sanchez-Martin MSGD, that she really believes in the value of the service she provides. She speaks passionately about the joy that her customers experience in having their lives literally transformed by their new gardens. She believes a well-designed (though crucially not 'over-designed) garden space has the capacity to change people's lives. Ana is a fully
registered member of the Society of Garden Designers, after passing the SGD's
rigorous adjudication process, which involves having designed a minimum number of gardens to a requisite standard over a long period of time. Her training was at the highly regarded Capel Manor College and English Gardening School and she has since worked for a variety of prestigious organisational and private clients.
