About
I Made It Myself is the brainchild of two wonderfully gifted ex-television producers, Laura Wilson and Sangeeta Bhaskar. From a studio in Chiswick they curate all manner of totally on-trend craft workshops and classes offering you the chance to make your own beauty products, vintage jewellery, Christmas wreaths and decorations, candles and floral arrangements. They offer courses in cupcake decoration, biscuit icing, fascinator making, millinery and candle making.
Why we think they're special
While there are other businesses offering courses of a similar nature, what makes I Made It Myself special is that, much like the Darling Collective, they only work with handpicked instructors and all courses are designed to ensure your participation – there are no demonstrations here, you will walk away with a creation fashioned by your own fair hands. Teachers are all experts in their particular field and have been selected not only for their knowledge, but also their ability to communicate and engage with others.
Course format
All courses are designed to fit into the lifestyles of busy professionals. Courses are offered in convenient two to three-hour chunks in a friendly and informal setting. You don’t need to have any prior experience and you don’t need to provide any materials… these like the tea and cake are all provided.
What can you expect?
The aim of the these courses is summed up by the title of the business, after a relaxing session spent learning a new skill, you’ll be able to remark to anyone who might care to listen ‘I made it myself’.
